Steeped in History

The site of two summer camps since the early 1900s (Camp Hiawatha for girls, 1920s-1984, and Maine Teen Camps, 1984-2025), Maine Lakes Retreats expanded from a sleepaway youth camp into a three-season multifunctional site for all types of events. Our historic Grand Lodge and rustic cabins are a nod to the generations of campers who made lifelong memories here.

We acknowledge and are grateful to the Wabanaki people who for millennia have been the stewards of the lands, the waters and the ecosystem where Maine Lakes Retreats resides.
